The Post House

The Post House is situated in Greyton, just 90 minutes from Cape Town in the beautiful Overberg region. This charming country hotel also has a restaurant and cosy pub.

The Post House has recently been bought by owners, John and Janet Higginson; an absolute delight, and are so passionate about the industry and what they do. John continues to work in an architectural firm in Cape Town, but has made Greyton his home for his family. As for Janet, spent many earlier years modelling, qualified as a pastry chef and brings loads of hospitality experience to the table.

Along with an an amazing team, hard work and late nights. The Post House has opened it’s doors with an exceptional upgrade. Elegantly refurbished rooms, private garden, pool area and lawns, unparalleled service and unique experiences.

The Post House was originally constructed in 1860 and is one of the oldest buildings in Greyton. The main building was used as a trading post and lodging for tired travelers. The Post House country pub -well known for the Bells whiskey advert- was also once Greyton’s post office.

Seems like autumn has taken forever to come this year, but now that the cold days are back, what better way to comfort yourself than with a steaming cup of coffee?

If you don’t like coffee, then we also have various teas available, and some freshly baked pastries – inspiration, Janet!!

Wake up and smell some pretty good artisan coffee!
